Im not planning to leave yet. Ive heard you can buy homes in places like Alabama for $60k or so (yes, I understand theyre in rural areas). Once I have about $200,000k saved up, I plan to leave California. No, I will not be voting Democrat wherever I end up. What Im looking for in a state:

1. Strong private property and gun rights laws with relatively low home prices.

2. Preferably not a community property state.

3. I prefer cold over heat, but I also dont eat to shovel snow for 4+ months out of the year. I dont care if its dry heat. I dont want to live some place like Arizona.

4. I do not want to move to another blue state. So obviously, Im looking for a state with a lot less taxes since Im already in California.

5. I dont need to live in a huge city, but Id like to be relatively close to some cities. I dont want to have to drive an hour just to see people lol.

6. Im ruling out places where everyone is moving already such as Colorado, Washington, and Texas. And Oregon is out due to Antifa and how they treated Andy Ngo.

7. I dont need to live among a ton of other Asians, but I do want to live somewhere that has decent variety in food including Asian food(Thai, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, etc.).

Thats about it off the top of my head. I might think of more factors later.

So, the question is, will you vote in line with California policies?

Raleigh north carolina is the only place I can think of that checks all those boxes. Plenty of other options if you can compromise on something

Ive been to Colorado way back in the 90s. Specifically, we landed at Denver Airport and went to a church camp in Ft. Collins. We ended up hanging out and partying with these girls the whole time and never went to the camp lol.

Ive been to the Dallas airport, but I never had time to leave the airport before catching a connecting flight to New Orleans.

Ive never been to NC, but Ive heard good things. One of the YouTubers I follow is in NC or SC, I believe.

It's incredibly expensive, and parts of it are super dangerous.
But other than that, it's great.

Wisconsin outside of Madison & Milwaukee is very conservative. The cost of living is low and you can buy some very nice houses at affordable prices.

Only major downside is that it does get cold. Like, really, REALLY cold. We have all four seasons here and Im not sure if someone from California would like that.

As for food, theres not a huge variety outside of the cities. All I can say is I hope you like cheese.

I moved to Utah and it's... just not that nice. Every town just looks like run down white suburbia, horrible air pollution. World class outdoors but the towns are meh to bad. 5/10 not high on the list

The places all the immigrants live in Colorado (Denver/Boulder/Ft Collins) are just midwest 2.0, a solid 2 hours from any semblance of mountain life, and it's definitely a progressive place aside from the many random ranching communities

With your parameters I might look at Wisconsin, maybe South Dakota?

Look into the mountain areas of Tennessee, North of Chattanooga. I think most of what you say falls in line, you can get a place on a lot of land for a low price, have some privacy, maybe see 3 small snowfalls per year. There's a bit more diversity there opposed to somewhere like the Cumberland mountains which is a lot more backwoods and racist, lot of meth production and users, etc.

I was thinking of moving to Utah. One of the places being St George. Gorgeous surrounding landscape, great outdoors and a pretty low cost of living from what I could tell.

It also seems to have quite a few tiny houses. At least from what I could tell from Zillow. Which interest me greatly. Being single and a minimalist.

yeah St George is blowing up right now, it's not as plain but it is half mormons which has a subtle but powerful cultural effect. Kind of a weird vibe when half the town is in a cult and don't want anything to do with you

it is like 100* for four months though

I'm pretty anti social on top of that all oddly enough so being left alone is a plus in my book.
