Mainly because of how paper-thin they are.
Like, has Lois Lane never once put together the fact that the muscular guy with glasses looks and sounds exactly like the muscular guy without glasses? Or nobody in all of Gotham has considered that the guy in the black cowl and cape looks and sounds exactly like playboy millionaire Bruce Wayne? Nobody!? And this doesn't even include the superheroes who don't even try to hide their alter egos and yet fool everybody anyway... --- I like my beer cold, my TV loud, and my homosexuals FUH-LAMING! - Homer Simpson Don't be a turd. - Chris Pratt ... This is why I like the MCU far better than DC
Sure, the Avengers have their real names and their superhero names, but everyone knows who they are Everyone knows Steve Rogers is Captain America, everyone knows Tony Stark is Iron Man, and guys like Thor don't even have alter egos. The only real exception is Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and that kinda makes sense seeing as how he's still just a kid in school --- I like my beer cold, my TV loud, and my homosexuals FUH-LAMING! - Homer Simpson Don't be a turd. - Chris Pratt ... Superman has to have some sort of glamour type super power he's not aware of. Because those fucking glasses aren't fooling anyone on their own.

Actually, seeing Antony Starr (Homelanders actor) in the After-the-Episode shows for The Boys has made me reconsider my stance on this trope:

pretty much no one in the MCU seems to have any kinda secret identity with the exception of maybe Peter Parker...
but as far as Batman and Superman go, people have seen them with Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent before, or at least, they thought that did. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Lots of people don't think Superman even has a secret identity, he has an artic base and honorary citizenship in every country around the world.
He's talked about being an alien from a dead race publicly, people know Kal-El. Also this discussion is kind of funny when Superman doesn't even have a secret identity in the comics anymore because of Bendis. There's typically very little to connect the heroes with the secret identities in general, hell the only connection Spider-Man has with Peter Parker would make him being Spider-Man seem impossible. ...
