there was also that guy who was hired to be on snl, but when video came out of him saying the c-word, it took days for nbc to say or do anything about it (though i guess he was ultimately let go; can you imagine, though, how fast he would've been fired had he been caught saying the black or jewish equivalent?)

and even earlier this year, i remember a topic where a dude was asking about what your local chinese joint is called

a mod of all people (gamefaqs totally isn't racist, am i right) proceeded to mention his local vietnamese resaurant, which i called him out on

everybody (including people who i nowadays see virtue signaling it up like crazy) then reacted by telling me to shut the fuck up and other nonsense

you might argue that this is super petty or whatever, but claiming it's minor is exactly the problem
