Well the stigma is that young people don't want to work so that directly(or indirectly) effects the economy or something like that, I dunno.

they said this about millennials too.

The process is always the same. Young people don't want to work. Then you get 25-30 years old and realize you have to because our society doesn't just exist out of thin air.

Well I think the progressive plan is to find a way to live decently without having to go through expensive colleges and work for the man upstairs.

Fiscal conservatism is dead and the Rs only drag its corpse out when they arent in power. Both parties will spend hand over fist so might as well vote based on what the people can get out of it.

its either the Rs spend a lot of money for nothing (corruption/kleptocracy putting money into the vaults of the rich, or paying into the military industrial complex to blast some sand dunes across the world)

or the Ds spend a lot of money and society hopefully gets a few things out of it and makes things a little more tolerable.

My dad is in his late 50s and he's more left wing than ever. I'm 30 and finding myself being more of a socialist with every year.

I've been kinda parabolic. Started off pretty far left, got more conservative (but still just left of center) in early to mid-late 20s, then back further left in the decade since.

And all parents and step parents hate trump, and they are all boomers (stepmother might be late boomer/early gen x. Cant remember what year she was born). I'm pretty sure my step grandmother who is close to if not 90 is also at least left center.

As I've learned about investing and generally how wealth is created and maintained, I've gotten fairly conservative. Yet, contradictorily, I am investing in technologies and projects that are designed from the ground up to promote fairness and create an equal playing field for all participants.

The line the topic is based off of "If you're young and not a liberal, you have no heart, if you're old and not a conservative, you have no brain" has some merit. But it's contingent on you receiving the same opportunities that the previous generations had and understanding the careful balance of how wealth in maintained. Unfortunately both culture and society are deliberately designed nowadays to strip those same opportunities that gave you the chance of attaining American dream by putting everyone into debt slavery. Meaning that line is misleading and potentially antiquated.
