I knew about scorpions, but fucking 8 inch centipedes? Remind me to never go there. Do you guys ever find any in your house?

I came across a picture of one when looking at glue traps. Won't post any pics because it's horrifying.

Giant desert centipede.
Coyote Peterson intentionally got bit by one of them, there's 2 vids of it on youtube, the catching/biting and the aftermath. It took him a good bit to recover from it, even after they used a venom extractor to remove what they could. I wouldn't want to find one loose in the house, but some keep them as pets. There's a reason why centipedes are recommended to be double sealed in a container within a container.

I shall now post the two videos I reference to avoid causing those curious to see the vicious beasts having to track it down.

Ive lived in Southern Arizona for almost 35 years and never seen a centipede that wasnt in an educational exhibit. Maybe they just hide really well.
