There really aren't any good qualities about any of them

Loose sticks with no grip, and put in the wrong spots
Mushy buttons/dpad
Poop battery life
Flimsy build quality

No comfortable way to hold them with how small they are and the DS4 digs into your middle fingers unless you put them in the most unnatural position to avoid the plastic edges below the triggers

The dualshocks are the worst controllers not counting gimmick Nintendo ones.

I'll agree with you on the Grip part, there are hella better gripping Analog Stick tops out there.
Loose, it depends on the version.

Mushy buttons/dpad

The Mushy buttons was more DS2
The D-Pad pales in comparison to Sega Genesis / Saturn D-Pad's.

Poop battery life

Yeah, I hate their forced crappy Tiny lithium Ion Battery Packs. Rechargeable AA batteries are 4 Life. MS got this aspect right with their easy to swap AA battery door.

Flimsy build quality

That seems to be a more DS4 issue than earlier ones.
