The 3DS was such an awesome system. Never cared for the 3D aspect as it really never worked for me (I'm partially blind in one eye, maybe that's why) but the games were awesome.

Yeah my R button decided to go from broken to eternal press and couldn't find one before they announced the discontinuation. Can't transfer to an older model either, so lost access to over $100 of games and DLC.

For whatever reason, my 3DS has held up pretty well so far whereas I managed my break my DS (well, effectively) and the shoulder buttons on my GBA-SPs both went.

You aren't missing out on much. It adds nothing to the game and just makes it harder to play longer, as well as completely destroys the battery life.

I don't know a single person that uses it for more than "I wonder how that looks in 3D", and then immediately shuts it back off.

it kills my eyes and that's the only reason i don't use it, or anything else in 3d

KIU's flying stages look amazing in 3D. Otherwise yeah, it can be distracting, although it works into a game gimmick for certain titles where the 3D is used for puzzle solving.

Yeah. Unfortunately it's pretty much all digital only stuff, and a decent amount of it too since 99% of it is cheaper ones.

Sometimes I want to play one and then remember I can't.

I have recently started playing with the 3D turned on all the time, after years of keeping it turned off. It does make the graphics extra clear. Once in a while I have to turn the system a little so I don't see two 2D images instead of one 3D one, but not that often.
