I have a moderation on my profile and it sucks. I don't want there to be a moderation there any more. It bothers me to see this moderation on my profile every time I log on, and I think it doesn't belong there.

It is my personal belief that the moderators on this website are cruel, discriminatory and self-absorbed, and I believe most, if not all, moderators to be failures in all of their real life endeavours. I posit that by moderating other users on an online message board, they are exercising control that they cannot attain in their real life, which I characterise as being pathetic and sad personal traits. Due to this, I believe myself to be better than them, as I consider myself to be a whole, self-realised person without the need to exercise power over others in a virtual environment.

In short, the moderation that remains on my profile is an extension of a moderator's own personal failings, and while it will hold up in the system of law that GameFAQs utilises, I don't believe it to be legitimate for the given reason - that it's a reflection of someone else's failings, and not my own. I expect better treatment from a place I visit so frequently, and if I were to get another illegitimate moderation in this way, I would not consider civility in my response. Good day.

The real post: honestly I kinda beansed up the appeal, I've been going kinda nutty lately and that manifested in a really stupid way. The moderation does bother me, I don't like looking at it lmao, but I understand why it was made and I understand that it's gonna hang around because I handled the appeal like a douchebag. I am bellyaching a little bit, but it's really not a big deal and I'm not actually that bothered by it.

I just thought it'd be funny to get inside the mind of someone who bitches about moderations. I thought about what kind of jackass would stubbornly insist that they did nothing wrong, and blame everyone else around them for their post being moderated. Like yeah, mods can be jerky, but the extent to which some of these morons characterise moderators as cripplingly lonely failures is just so self-absorbed and shitty. To hold someone in such low regard because you don't see eye to eye on them in regards to a forum - video game or otherwise - is just really pathetic.

In short - I understand the moderation I got, though I would feel reassured if the moderation staff could make a statement decrying qanon conspiracy shit and vowing to moderate it to the best of their abilities. But yeah - the moderation is whatever, it just bugs me to see it linger on my profile like it's doing lmao. Mods are fine, Alpha is a cool guy and people take Error way too fucking seriously lol. Just shitposting itt
