my problem is that (unless it's a commonly hated on game) if you ever post a single dissenting opinion or critique on anything - no matter how legitimate/valid or even just small - you'll be absolutely hounded by nothing but accusations of trolling, "just don't buy it then", etc.

they're filled with nothing but overzealous fanboys

Mmm, I guess its how I use them then.

I havent used them for discussion in ages, I just go to find info and occasionally provide it if someone has a question I can answer when I stop by.

I mean, if it's a game from a franchise, or that had a lot of pre-release hype, it's totally normal that people will buy the game expecting it to be good, only to end up not liking it. Their opinions are just as valid as the people getting into it.

I remember when Skyward Sword came out, I was one of those people. All I wanted was a good Zelda game and I got...that. >_>

Skyward Sword was OK to criticize. It was actually my reintroduction to gamefaqs for a while and I hung out there. I stuck out like a soar thumb because I loved Skyward Sword. Any of you guys remember CatMuto? C-A
