Friend asks you for a dollar, you give it to them and they either forget or they don't think a dollar is important enough to pay back. I used to work with this woman that borrowed a shit ton of money...over $200. She was freaking out over paying her rent at home. I felt like I was genuinely helping someone out. So I went through the money. I considered her a good friend of mine, so I didn't think there would be an issue with her paying me back for it...I found out a few months later she was addicted to drugs.
