Seems like a great game but I dont like re-doing long things ive already done with my precious video game time.

you're likely going to have shortcuts that make traversal easier after you unlock them, like in the original, and the checkpoints after each boss, but I highly doubt there's gonna be anything else

They're going to change the game a lot to make it even easier so you shouldn't be dying anyway

The deluxe edition gives the player a bunch of items to trivialize it from the beginning

Sony wants money. Making it easier and more accessible will get more people to buy it. Look at the deluxe edition items.

I saw the deluxe edition items. Yeah they'll either be overpowered or useless, that's how deluxe items always are and why I didn't quote that part. But we have no reason to believe that the game itself will be easier. The Souls series didn't get popular because it was easy.

How is save points ruining the game anyway? If youve already beaten the part it means youve completed the challenging thing in the proper way, save points are just so you dont have to re-do what youve already done.

Because it loses all the tension and becomes every other game that you just loosely play with half your attention because there's no reason to actually try.

You still have to beat the difficult thing, tension being based around the threat of wasting free time re-doing things is not tension, its just bad game design.

Answer me this then. What makes you feel entitled to every game being designed around your personal preference? How come mine doesn't matter as much as yours? How come when I see a game that doesn't have a design I prefer, I say to myself "I guess this game isn't for me" and I move on, yet you feel it should be for you and should be taken away from how I prefer it? Why do you want people like me to lose out on game mechanics they enjoy, just so you can play everything? Why are you entitled to that?

If you play offline (to avoid invaders. Could also have a friend just tackle invaders online), you can basically trivialize the game I to super easy mode by using a shield with the highest damage resistance for whatever your dealing with. As much as I don't like relying on shields, it helps people get into the game for finding it too difficult to react or play aggressively. Just keep holding up your shield, lower it to recharge stamina faster when you're safe, strike an enemy after they finish a combo or stagger on your shield, kite them and back stab, etc.

Im completely fine with the actual gameplay challenge the game offers, but the save point thing is just making it so I dont have to re-do things ive already done, like all save points do in all games.

The archstones are the save points. The level design in Souls games allow for less checkpoints because the levels loop around themselves. Once you get far enough in a level, you don't get another checkpoint, you get to kick down a ladder that leads to the first checkpoint as a shortcut.

Not that I think you're asking this in good faith, but I tried.

They need to add the rewind feature from the Nintendo switch

I just hope they change the final boss attack that deletes your last level up.

Die to this difficult boss? Good luck on your second attempt now that you just lost 3 stat points. Or you can grind for an hour or two to get your character back to the level they were before.

I did? How is suggesting a feature that would make a game better being entitled? Im not demanding that they add it. I dont care whether or not they add it, theres thousands of other games to play, its just a shame because it seems like itd be a great game if it had save points, but oh well.

Demons Souls was never as difficult as the Dark Souls games from what I hear. I wouldn't worry about it. Pretty sure there are still shortcuts as well.
