No worries, I figure he's going out tomorrow anyway I just don't want to leave any stone unturned! And hey, he almost went out at 21st so I should be pretty happy with 13th. Especially with this Seymour push that is going on.

Seriously though I would be down for a Rinoa run next year (not tied to any trades this year lefty!!!). I love Tidus but a lot of people seem super averse to helping out past winners. Yuna is another option for me but I doubt she'll need help. Though a ton of people are already lining up behind Selphie so maybe Rinoa's a no go too. Eh, far too soon to be considering that anyway.

What the heck happened after that Rinoa push? She got 11th then FF8 sans Squall just drops off a cliff for the next 3 years.

Fang had the full force of Year of XIII behind her, and after the Lightning lawyering we were angry

FFVII is too disjointed. Not to say Red can't win but I don't see the Fang parallel

Honestly with how well Remake was received and how VII is the biggest game in the series I feel like even Red XIII could pick up some casual support in that matchup

and even the ones who dont like him so much are mostly just indifferent, could matter against someone they hate

As a dog (I think? Never played VII) I assume his sense of smell is strong enough to sniff the finals even from a great distance

Just because you keep saying VII is strong doesn't make it so. It's going to be just like last year. Aerith was the one real shot. I still want to believe in Tifa but it's more despair than optimism over the past week.

Oh by the way Aerith was the #1 ranked character from the preferences submitted to date.

42 people, and an even higher average rating that Kefka.

I can't believe I didn't look at his save time.

Hey don't beat yourself up Martin, FF7 has like a third of the field left there's absolutely a chance for Tifa or someone right? The lawyering sucks for sure but at the very least your main is still in!

I know you weren't around for it, but during Tidus's winning year the brigade that put him there carried Seymour along far beyond his expiration date that year, all the way to an 8th place finish. Tidus was usually safe so fast that a lot of his voters just gave Seymour a vote; hugs for Seymour were offered.

Happy to help sort of return that favor this year when I'm able to. This is probably the first time since I've played the contest where I'm in the position to say I can do that from time to time, it's a little strange!

I disagree, it has the second most finals appearances behind IX, is the game that has actual momentum thanks to remake, and is the most played game in the series.

Its stronger than people give it credit to. Can I be wrong and the finals be a Squall/Kefka or Seymour/Garnet or even a Delita/Edea? Sure. But I dont think it happens

Always a good guy, andy. I just feel bad for Steiner and TotallyNotMI, her run was all them, and yellowwolley who was her main driver last year and recently came back to throw her saves, and Pokewars, and Kaelee... I just never thought Tifa would outlive her, but was always afraid a night round would do it. Too much non-North American support. Gotta see this through to the bitter end on the Tifa train though.



Next year.... we push for Sephiroth/Aerith finals.

And Tidus can survive tomorrow, I definitely want to believe.
