Watched a gameplay preview a few weeks ago about extracting a talking brain or something and almost each conversation choice you make involves rolling the dice.

It looks kinda tedious to me.

You do it a lot and it'd be better if there was an option to just do it in the background tbh

That would suck. I'd rather have a system where my action is automatically successful if I fulfil the required stats.

I know it's not very DnD-like, but most games I've played is like that.

I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 yet, but I like how they've integrated the tabletop concepts more. The possibilities of the dice rolls is a rather core element of Dungeons and Dragons.

There have been some rolls like that. Im not super far in but Ive had rolls that only need a 1 to succeed.
