How hard is it to set up with mining?

Not particularly hard. At the beginning of each stock you're already given some materials so you can create blocks that you can use as a brittle defense. But with that basically just play defensively and mine whenever you get the chance to get some materials. Once you've got a decent inventory you can start playing offensively. Playing him is basically a changing cycle of defensive and offensive playstyles, along with a stupid-fun C4-esque stage control move. As an opponent you basically have to rush Steve and not give him any breathing room.

His vertical recovery isn't too great, he excels at horizontal. So if you're fighting Steve, focus on sending him below the stage.
