Obviously it goes on too long, but on the whole I couldn't have asked for a better homage to the first Alien film.

Also how the HELL did IGN give it a 5.9?

I didn't like it much. The alien breathing down your back nearly the whole time and being forced to hide for long stretches annoyed me

It's one of my favorite games of the generation. If they would have ended it after the escape from the hive, it would have been a 10/10.

also the sound design is incrediblewas the first game I played after getting a full surround sound system and it really kicked things up to the next level

most of the later parts with the androids were kinda frustrating, but otherwise i loved the game. also kinda lame how some of the essential items to deal with them are locked behind missable blueprints.

You gotta admit, though, they absolutely NAILED the atmosphere of the first film.

Yes. They got everything right except the gameplay imo

But also playing as Ripleys daughter was kinda corny

I do have to say that you definitely have to be a fan of the first Alien film for this game to really click. Otherwise it comes across as almost painfully slow.

I'm a big fan of the original movie. I like aliens more but 1 is still in my top 10 probably. It still never clicked for me as a game

I'm glad others enjoyed it though. It was good to see such a fanbase gather around it
