Anyone here have an 8bitdo controller? Planning on getting a SN30Pro+ but I need to know if I need any of those usb dongle adapters they sell if I want to use the controller for laptop and Switch

I have the SN30 Pro+. Best third party controller I've ever used. Feels like the real thing.

Edit: As long as you're device accepts bluetooth, you can use it. You don't need a usb dongle.

I personally haven't experienced any lag. Do you have it set under "switch mode"?

I have the SNES30. There was a firmware update that makes it compatible with the Switch without any dongles. Switch reads it as a pro controller.

Cool cool perfect. Would I be able to connect it to my laptop with a usb cord as well? The kind chargers use?

You can use it as a wired controller if you have a USB-C cord that plugs into a USB. It comes with one, but it's kinda short.

I've only connected my 8BitDo to my laptop for the firmware update but I don't see why it wouldn't be compatible wired. It says so on the box. The cable it comes with mimics the cable from the og SNES.

The Switch prioritizes the joycons so any other controller suffers.

Outside of that, they are incredible. I have the FC30 pros and love them.

The one I have is wired so I can't comment on their wireless one, but the one I use is great. After years of using a Xbox 360 controller for PC this is such an improvement that I could never go back

Im pretty sure Im not able to pair a controller with my PS4, but would one of the usb dongles be able to change that?

You need that Titan dongle (lmao) for PS and Xbox

I guess it doesn't have to be Titan specifically that's just the one people usually recommend.

If it wasnt in Switch mode it wouldnt pair.

Oh thats the other thing. I have to repair it every time I used it.

oh right. When I connect my controller to my raspberry pi, It seems to let me pair it under Android as well as switch. However when I use Android, it doesn't seem to work right.

I use it with my phone. Only issue I had was sometimes up on the d-pad would stop working, but a firmware update seems to have fixed that.
