A game isnt objectively "better" than its predecessors when its main claim to that is nearly completely abandoning the game type of its predecessors. You may enjoy Skyrim more, but not only is that an opinion, but it also isnt the same thing as being "better" than Morrowind or even Oblivion. And FWIW, if you want to be objective, you rank them on specific parts of the game: RPing elements: Morrowind > Oblivion > Skyrim Main Story: Morrowind = Skyrim = Oblivion Side Quests: Oblivion > Morrowind >> Skyrim Combat: Skyrim > Oblivion > Morrowind Magic system: Morrowind = Oblivion > Skyrim Stealth: All crap Graphics: Skyrim > Oblivion > Morrowind Art Direction: Morrowind > Skyrim >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Oblivion And so on. --- I dream of a society where I would be guillotined as a conservative. As for Oblivion vs. Skyrim, I did consider Skyrim to be better for a while, but I've always liked Oblivion's factions and quests better, and they're some of the most important things for me.
