I'm only in June and sometimes wonder if I'll ever actually have enough time to max out all confidants since I'm playing semi-blind with no online or walkthrough.

But I really like all the additions the game has over 3 and 4. Baton passes, the showtime mechanic, it's just a lot of fun ways to take out shadows. And I'm glad that I can literally switch in party members on the fly. Don't even have to go to a safe room. It's little quality of life improvements like that which matter most, instead of the old days where you can't switch out party members unless you leave the dungeon, or have to worry about tired status

I managed to max out all the confidants on the literal last day that I could, it was gnarly.

I platinum Persona 5 base and I just finish Persona 4 Golden. I agree that the gameplay in 5 is so much better.

Tip, I would focus on Temperance and Fortune first over all other confidant if your goal is trying to max all of them.

And boy I've forgotten how catchy the music is in persona games. I like how pumped the battle theme makes me. Or how calming the evening leblanc cafe singer is.

What I also like about 5 is I feel like it's a combination of 3 and 4, like it has the seriousness of 3 with some of the humour of 4.

I like Ryuji, who is a bit of Yosuke and a little of Junpei (like maybe 80% Yosuke, 20% Junpei)

Don't know if I like red eyed girl (the class president or whatever) she's no mitsuru I'll tell you this right now.

As for the yukari of the game, Ann or whatever, she's fine but... why twintails? I think she's supposed to be "the hot one" in the game/school but why give her such a hairstyle.

Temperance won't rank up unless I waste an evening with them so I'm debating whether I should waste a day doing that or do Fortune first.

I googled Fortune (and if it's the literal fortune teller in shinjuku) and apparently I need to waste 3 whole nights first, then do a mementos mission, then finally unlock her their first rank? And I'd have to wait all the way until rank 5 to use their skill? Don't know if that's a good investment. Well summer break is coming up next month according to the calendar so maybe I'll spend that time getting them to the useful rank 5.

Fortune is 100% worth the investment, if you want to max as many confidants as possible go for Fortune

Getting fortune to 7 lets you deepen bonds for cash. It will save you many days/evenings that you would otherwise have to use spending useless time with confidants just to build enough points to get them to the point where they can rank up

Also Temperance level 10 will allow you to go out during the evening on days where you go into palaces/mementos instead of being forced to bed

Both are highly worth it
