The first thing I did after doing the tutorial (twice) was ** around in a random direction, and ran into enemies that my early-game gear wasn't good enough to beat, and I hated needing to abandon fighting a boss just because my gear literally couldn't keep up. This problem mostly disappeared when I finally started getting midgame items or upgrading my inventory. Even in the midgame if you fight something like a Lynel, its going to tear through 1/2 your weapons before you finally kill it. I think it's the running around without any real threat for long periods. I didn't mind Death Strandings emptiness because I was always under pressure of planning out routes so that I didn't fuck myself. There was always tension and minor anxiousness that I might not end up making it. Without that, running across empty fields is just boring to me. Holding down the lock-on button instead of tapping once and being able to tap again to switch targets, as perfected by the series the first fucking time in OoT, is insufferable. And even on the plateau you begin to see how empty the world actually is. (And I used an unlimited Stamina hack just to make traveling go faster.) And I found two-handed weapons before any real one-handed weapons. Those two-handed weapons are unusable as fuck. Or would be in any other game where the enemies aren't so fucking slow to attack. And just WHY is the voice acting so fucking bad? Even the Fire Emblem remake they basically set up to fail they bothered to get Christina Fucking Vee for. But for their fucking "masterpiece" they couldn't even get anyone other than interns and their grandparents to play the old people?! I didn't even make it to 10 hours when I decided to actually give the game a chance. (With unlimited Stamina cheat and unlimited weapon durability hack. I removed a good chunk of the stupidity and STILL found it unbearable.)
