It was the same good natured ribbing that all of the MCU actors (minus like, Paltrow) participate in and people just got mad about it because it was Brie. She's also a bit more deadpan about it than most and people apparently can't see nuance because she lives in their heads rent free.

The shit Mackie and Stan say about Holland is way worse than anything from Brie and it's still hilarious.

Twitter has over 300,000,000 active users with different opinions man. They're not all the same people.

I'm stating a possible reason why his co-stars might come to his aid as opposed to Larson. Which is that for all the criticism she got from certain Twitter morons, for her relatively tame comments as far as Hollywood goes, she also received support from other Twitter morons.

Chris Pratt doesn't seem to be getting the same support from Twitter morons, mostly just criticism. His co-stars are his friends, and they seemingly think he's a really good guy, so it seems they think he needs the support.

2 questions:

1. Why would anybody ever use twitter

I don't think anything needs (or should) happen other than maybe these celebrities maybe reflect a bit and wonder why they didn't come out and say anything when their other co-stars were being hounded.

This is a little different. Brei Larson made a social economics and political stance, and then doubled down on it hard.

It's her stance. That's ok. But it's not everyone's stance. Not everyone has to share the same beliefs. I don't think other actors in the MCU have some duty to support anything they don't believe in.

The thing is, the trolls criticizing Larson with anything other than an intelligent discourse, were just disgusting racist/sexist individuals. There really isn't any need to come to Larson's aid for that. Anybody with any semblance of intelligence can clearly see that those trolls are evil nasty human beings. So why even give them attention in the first place.

What Larson and her supporters actually wanted, was for RDJ, Chris Evans, and the rest to go online and express support for her social-political viewpoints. I don't feel that's fair.

In the case of Chris Pratt, he's NOT being attacked by your stereotypical hateful troll. He's being attacked by left leaning individuals with significant clout...just for being a Christian. That's terrible, and due to the nature of who is attacking him, it acty helps if other people Influence come to his aid.

Chris Pratt literally did nothing but exist. He went to church. That's all. Brei Larson on the other hand was advocating for alot of social political, left leaning ideologies. Whether you agree with them or not, it's clear that these two situations are not same.

This whole, how dare you defend Chris Pratt for being Christian, when you didn't show support for Brei Larson's "insert left winged idelogoy viewpoint here" thing is fucking batshit crazy.

That kind of victimhood mentality could be applied to anything really. For example, say some hate group desecrated Chadwick Bossman's grave, and RDJ goes on Twitter to denounce it. Some Brie Larson Stan could reply "you hypocrite, here you all defending Chadwick's Estate against white supremacists, but where were you when Brie Larson was..."

• He goes to a Church that has gay conversion therapy
• He follows Ben Shapiro and Turning Point on social media
• He tried to give away a cat on social media
• His dog was found abandoned and starving in the streets
• When his co-stars were campaigning people to vote for Biden Pratt said you should vote for Onward

This caused Pratt to trend on Twitter

MCU stars then came out and started to defend Chris Pratt but offered no counter-arguments that another Chris should go instead so really this was all a big waste of time

You never owned a dog before?

I grew up with 7 of them. Sometimes they get out, sometimes they run away, and become lost. This is why microchipping is so important nowadays.

Eventually (around the 3 year mark) I trained my dogs to NOT run away. Honestly, I think (aside from the pug, which was too lazy) after getting lost once or twice, or visiting the pound they're like "fuck it, I ain't never going outside without a leash again!"

Basically it just happens. A good dog owner will eventually train them to stay. But they all get out at least once... depending on how fun/bad that journey is will determine if they ever attempt it again.
