Jesus often spoke of the law and the prophets as the authority of God, to which he referred to the old testament.

As such, if that was not complete, he would have needed to mention another.

Plus the whole naming all the angels is a huge departure from the rest of the bible.

Edit: actually it is 3 but that is because revelations says Abaddon is angel of bottmless pit.

That is, another angel was asked his name and he refused it saying:
"Why do you ask my name seeing it is wonderful?"
Which gives an implication that such knowledge is not really for man and men start worshipping them anyways when they get credit and named; which is a sin according to the bible.

Or at least I would say if I were to take issue with the book of Enoch beyond the questioning of who wrote it and when, that would be what sticks out to me.

Hmm, Abaddon does break the el pattern, interesting.

Note if you started at verse 12 you lose important context.
What is that context?
This passage is discussing a man.
It even says it is a man, he has children. The king of babylon.

To which lucifer means this:

The title "Helel ben Shahar" refers to the planet Venus as the morning star, and that is how the Hebrew word is usually interpreted

Jesus is also called the morning star in Revelations so...
Basically that king had potential and then became a dissappointment.

For a similar reason, there are a whole lot of middle eastern gods with Baal in their name.

Also, the things youve been posting are exceedingly interesting. Ive read much of it before, but there are quite a few new things. So cheers, Ive been learning something new.

The Quran is pretty specific as to Satan (who has more than just that name) being made of fire. His is a Jinn.

There are good and bad Jinn in Quranic literature, as well as the Haddith (think of a Priest or Pastor explaining Bible passages), and the actual Quran itself.

Muslims believe that the Prophet Muhammed was visited by the angel Gibreel Gabriel in English who, over a 22 year period, recited Gods words to him. In turn, Muhammed repeated the words to his followers. These words were eventually written down and became the verses and chapters of the Quran.

Too bad it's against (most Muslims) to depict the Angel or Allah (God) and DEFINITELY NOT the Prophet in any way at all, in pictures.

Short answer is it doesn't fucking work. Has never worked in all history. God's "acts of god" are some of the most impotent ineffective shit ever.

Rewind to Adam and Eve. God himself is like ok you can do whatever you want just don't eat the fruit of that tree. I'll check back tomorrow. Well that didn't fucking work.

Fast forward a little, we're outside Sodom now and there's these 2 angels that are like "Lot, we like you and your family but we have to blow this place up. We want you to escape though so take your family and leave but don't look back." What happens, his wife looks back.

Let's go a little further, there were these massive plagues and an angel of death and parting the fucking ocean and now we've just left egypt and moses is like "these are the ten commandments. The most important one here is the first one obviously don't worship any other god. The rest don't really matter. Now I'm going to go behind the mountain here to take a piss don't do anything stupid." Moses goes to piss and comes back and they've already set up a golden bull calf false idol to worship.

This isn't like a failure to uphold a long time commitment perfecty like drinking alcohol on new years even though you're not supposed to. This is people everywhere cannot follow a direct order from God for 5 fuckin minutes.

And this isn't the only time this shit has happened in the bible.

So why aren't there any more acts of God? Because they don't fucking work.
