I'm getting close to triggering the epilogue, but I can't figure out how to unlock the hearts on the Olympians. I only have Athena complete, and I don't know what triggered it.

A lot of it is dialogue, and I think Athena is the easiest to do so. She was also the first I ranked up. I think Aphrodite might require you to max out a companion's affection. If the others have requirements, I don't know. But some, like Zeus and Demeter, have tons of dialogue to get through.

So I hadn't played this in a while, things got busy, but I finally came back and beat it.

I didn't win on my last run I described. I had depleted Hades' first life bar, and was caught off guard by him having a second one. It already looked like he had multiple phases so I really didn't expect him to have more on top of that. I probably shouldn't have stopped to look at my text messages... I won on my next run though. I ended up getting this thing from Artemis that automatically fires arrows whenever any of your attacks hit which synergized extremely well with the Blade Disc since every single hit of that triggered it. I found so many Pom fruits I was able to get it up to Level 7 and just clear house.

I guess there's still more to go, so I'll go and keep doing stuff.

unless it was very recently released in a patch, not yet. they are working on it though.

Oh I forgot to post my 32-heat run



Bad heat setup and a subpar run (no cast!), and I timed out once on Theseus and almost twice on dad, but I managed to just barely pull it off with some clutch DD refreshes here and there. Patroclus is, as always, the MVP, and blocking is OP.

Now I just need to do a few more low-pressure runs until I can get Achilles back with his boyfriend and max out some affections and I think I will finally be done with the game.

Tried out Bow again after unlocking the ability to store the Cast into it and it substantially improved its usefulness. I never liked having to sit there and charge shots before, but with the Cast combined into it the extra damage really paid off and made it much more worth it. I ended up changing the Cast to Festive Fog and it basically one shot killed nearly everything I came across. And bosses would be absolutely shredded in seconds. A really powerful upgrade compared to its base imo.

There was one thing that I could never figure out. I ended up getting the skill that let me fire two charged arrows at once, and I was hoping it would cause two Festive Fog bursts on impact, but I couldn't actually tell if it worked or not. It was too hard to see anything in the explosive madness, and I wasn't able to compare the damage numbers. Does anyone know if it works like that?

So my goal at the moment was to switch weapons based on which ones would give me extra darkness to afford more upgrades and try out different styles. Unfortunately the game trolled me and for the last six runs only ever alternated between the shield and the spear. Since I still really didn't know how to use the spear well I ended up jumping back and forth to getting bad runs with spear and easy clears with increasing heat using the shield.

But with my last spear run I decided to spend some blood on the upgrade that lets you jump to your throw move and give you an attack boost afterwards. I didn't really want to spend blood on a weapon I didn't like, but I felt like the spear really needed something to boost it. This did help make the early levels a lot better, but it still wasn't coming together. Then something amazing happened. I somehow ran into a bunch of Zeus boons in a row and I got chain lightning on my attack, then a thing that added lightning to my lightning, then one that added lighting to my dash (which came around the same time I used a hammer to change my dash attack into a triple hit), then a Jolt added effect to my lightning, and finally I got my first Legendary boon; a thing that added extra lightning to all my other lightning. Hoo boy, did that clear rooms like crazy. And bosses just straight up melted, including Hades. I got my first spear clear handily, and finally the game decided to give the gun the dark bonus, so now I'm finally giving that another proper go.

Oh, I also found a ton of Charon wells and ended up with like five separate instances of attack boosting jerky (I don't know if they stacked or not, but it was nice to have), and multiple speed boosting items, along with the Hermes move speed buff. I was zipping around all over the place at speeds that would make Sonic the Hedgehog sick.

Now it's just alternating between shield and gun. Luckily I'm keeping the winning streak going.
