It's LITERAL poison

What a weird type. Only 1 super effectiveness (Grass) before gen vi (where it also affects Fairy).

Also Bug in gen 1. Bug did need fewer weaknesses, but they could have made poison super effective against something else when they changed that.

IDK I'm still struggling to understand the difference between ground and rock. Also why the fuck is dragon even a type. No other fucking type is named after a literal species.

Grass is poorly named. It's the Flora-fauna type of thing. I don't think there's a single pokemon that is literally grass the way that there are some that are literal rocks.

Plant-type would be a way better name.

I don't think the goal with the names was to name them perfectly according to the pokemon that are those types.

"Flora-fauna" is a much more complicated name than "Grass." There are about 12,000 different species of grass, so I think that's good enough. There's nothing wrong with the name of a type also being the name of a species.

I'd like to see you try to poison a rock in real life.

Also, caffeine is insect poison, but billions of humans consume it daily with no negative repercussions. Something being poisonous/toxic to some species/individuals doesn't mean it's poisonous to all.

Also, Argonians have a natural resistance to poisons, so suck it men and mer.

It was in Gen 1. Was later changed so that bug was not effective against poison.

I can see arguments for either or even neither. One popular poison pokemon is trubbish/garbodor which is a pile or garbage and what do you always see around piles of garbage? Bugs.

Why doesn't attacks like body slam not do more damage with Rock Pokemon?

Heavy slam to do more damage the more mass the attacker has than its opponent. I think body slam is more apropo to the body slam you would see in wrestling where the attacker picks up and slams the opponent. It's kinda confusing with the 3D animation because I'm pretty sure the pokemon falls over as if it is doing what heavy slam does.

I was thinking more along the lines of the hardness of the attacker. Also the listed weights make no damn sense. Onix is only 463? So some stronger dudes can literally deadlift an Onix?

Because they're using dragon magic in their attacks. Like, any breath or fiery Dragon attacks are blue, so you can tell they're different from Fire breath attacks.
