Swedes who belong to a risk group and got a job they cannot do from home can apply for special financial aid so they can stay at home. This was instated earlier this year and expires on December 31st.

The Far-Left, the Far-Right, the Centre-Right Liberals and the Socialconservative Christian Democrats all demand this measure is extended into 2021.

The Socialdemocrats, the Greens, the Neoliberals and the Conservatives have yet to decide where they all stand regarding this.

This is a key thing I appreciate about our political system: parties who normally disagree unite every now and then on bills they all see will benefit the people and the country.

The Centre-Left Government (Socdems and Greens) implemented this but Riksdagen got a splintered Right-leaning majority who disagree on several things but they agree on some tax cuts. So the Government pretty much says measures like these cost too much money if the new tax cuts are to continue.

This is why the Neolibs and Conservatives hesitate I think. They value tax cuts higher than lives but dont wanna say that outright.

The Libs and Far-Right also hold tax cuts in high regard but they wanna increase the national debt by borrowing money.
