Think they will end up with 223.

Im guessing 224 but I also have a couple flips with the remaining vote out I might just be optimistic about so that sounds reasonable too.

Unless Trump wins reelection, Biden will catch all the blame for everything in the next two years, and Dems will feel disillusioned because they don't unequivocally hate Republicans the way Republicans hate Democrats, and a Senate map that we managed to get +1 in 2016 will wind up likely costing us senators again. Not to mention inevitably losing the House.

One thing to keep in mind is that with Trump gone...hopefully focus on the presidency won't be a 24/7 news cycle. Trump in the news puts R's in the news, and the news/media is a big reason as to why everything is the 'Democrats fault'

Obviously this will still be a thing, I just don't expect it be one thing after another constantly for 4 years like it was with Trump.

Biden's presidency wouldn't dominate the news the way Trump does, but as president he'd still be the most covered politician and thus take most of the blame for any political problems. Most people just don't care enough to pay much attention to Congress does unless they really screw up.

Really curious to see how 2022 goes. Rs especially vulnerable in the Senate.

2018 vs. 2020 seems to prove that Trump not on the ballot DOES make a difference to a ton of his voters coming out and if Dems retain the suburbs with a relatively-stable 2 years, GOP might be looking at an unfavorable midterm result.

oh yeah. Whether the Trump FERVOR continues after he is gone is the $25,000 question. If so Facebook isnt going away so Dems are in trouble. If not Demographic changes are going to eventually crush Republicans.

Been reading that there are 7000 more votes that Fulton has counted but haven't been uploaded to the secretary of state yet. Which would be another 3500 votes for Biden based on how Fulton has been coming in.

Really curious to see how 2022 goes. Rs especially vulnerable in the Senate.

I've been seeing this everywhere, but where does the idea that 2022 is a good Senate map for Dems come from? Look at the seats that are up that year:

Democrats: AZ, CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, NH, NV, NY, OR, VT, WA (13 seats, 3 competitive)

Republicans: AK, AL, AR, FL, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MO, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, UT, WI (20 seats, 4 competitive)

???: GA (1 seat, competitive)

It's not impossible for the Dems to gain seats, but most of the "competitive" seats are in states that lean Republican to begin with. Add in the awful track record for Democratic turnout in midterm elections, and it looks to me like they'd be lucky just to end up not losing seats. Am I missing something?

Four of those counties are deep blue, and magically, they forgot to hit "upload" and Goergia needed to count an extra 60,000 votes.

No honest person can buy any of this as legit, and I would hope our court system sorts it all out.
Only 2 of the counties are blue counties. They however are large counties.

How convenient that in major swing states (major in that, if they WERE to swing, it would be a disaster for the GOP), Biden managed to get about the same number of voters that Hillary got in 2016 (never mind that overall Dem votes are WAY more than they were in 2016), yet MAGICALLY, all of those counties show MASSIVE gains for Trump.

Does that sound stupid? It does? Then maybe shut up about your stupid "Pennsylvania and Georgia are rigging the vote" nonsense, because that shit is JUST as irrational.

IA wont be competitive for Senate in 2022.

That's Chuck Grassley and he isn't losing.

He is viewed as a hero to farmers and is completely entrenched. The last four years may have taken the shine off of him for many but there is no way the Dems can find a candidate to beat him. Not unless they can convince Kirk Ferentz or Dan Gable to run.
