How old is Mitch, just out of morbid curiosity.

Also, looks like some lost ballots are being found, so there's a chance at a senate tie.
yes *looks back and forth quickly* ...lost...totally

You're free to go on believing that mainstream network news and the papers of record are looking out for the regular people. The reality I described feels more plausible.

The reality in which Trump, who signed a tax bill that was a massive transfer of wealth to corporations and wall street, is the one who is peeling back the curtain is more plausible?

Really?

'Business as usual' is exactly what the establishment wants. They don't want a guy like Trump peeling back the curtain on the facade. That's the real game. Trump exposed the game too much. Biden won't ruffle feathers. It's exactly what Wall Street, corporations, Silicon Valley, the media, the military, and the bad actors overseas want.

All this s*** on the news about Trump being a mean man? That's surface level pleb stuff. That's the simulation. Yeah, he is a bad guy, but they overplayed the card. If he effs with 'the money' or at least threatens to, that's the real issue. It's why when he doesn't go hard against Russia or the whole Syria situation, the media hits him hard. The higher ups want their money to roll in and that means continuing useless wars and spreading disinfo at home.

lol. Or maybe no one liked Trump because he was incompetent and rather than peeling anything back, he was just a hack who whines like a little kid and everyone has to make excuses for him and then now we got this person coming out to say that Trump ruffled too many feathers. No, Trump was stupid and only revealed that half the country are deplorable people.

Several things can be true at once. Trump can be called a dick, and you'd be right to do it, but do it for the right reasons please. The Russia s*** was a farce. Several other things were nonsense. People treat this thing like it's a goddamn comic book movie. That's only one portion of the story. Hundreds of billions of dollars hinge on what the President says or does.

Like seriously, what is more realistic:

The media attacks Trump because he's a dick / bad guy (which he definitely is) and they're looking out for the regular guy?

OR

The media attacks Trump (who is conveniently a dick, and a good target), which pits 2 sides of the spectrum against each other and eats up plenty of TV time, while the people who run things/corporations get favourable breaks, avoid giving needy people any sort of reform or help, and run off to the bank?

Instead of thinking about what is a priori more likely, you may just want to observe reality and decide what is reflected in your observations.

I prefer believing the reality where it's known that things are a little more nefarious than the daily grind of "orange man is the worst". That's the bottom line and I'm sticking to it.

Doesn't mean I like that reality. Stay safe down there folks.

It's pretty much become a day one ritual for the new president to sign a slew of executive orders repealing the last guys orders.

Yup. And now that 'us versus them' feeling is heightened from the last several years. And no matter the outcome, there will be shouts that the win is illegitimate or fraudulent. There's no COVID relief as of yet and now faith in elections and government integrity have eroded or lessened. One bad event could set things off big time.

We're going to have a real problem on our hands no matter who wins.

Biden running a uniquely horrible campaign to the point where he still might not even win even while being given the biggest boost in US election history that would have led to anyone else stomping Trump is indicative of how he would have a uniquely horrible presidency. The man is a fucking idiotic Republican appeaser. He's made that much clear his entire career. He's not going to fight the Republicans when that's what everyone else wants. We've had four years of the Republicans showing us their true colors. The time for "bipartisanship" is over.

.....So simply put, we'd have Republicans still running wild and people getting so sick of him that the pendulum swing would go immediately back to the Republicans.

And the Trump cult is not going away and would happily back Ivanka so she can finish what Daddy started.
