People in my county seem very Republican (our county was one of the first counties called in the state on election night) but we voted to extend a half-cent sales tax to benefit schools here, which is weirdly altruistic. Florida as a whole also voted up on minimum wage increases.

but you know, what i wanted to say -- fascism survives in and because of ignorance. it needs to try and be subtle and it needs to be subversive. it needs to sell people the idea that they're ahead of a curve and thinking for themselves, while deceiving them and controlling them. it tells the naive that everyone else is.

i'd like to think that trump's obvious fascism in response to the election is mask off enough so that the people who have bought in have questions and can no longer be ignorant to what is going on. that maybe they can finally see the tantrum-throwing and undermining of the law and the voting process for what it is and what it means. but it's not that simple; to those caught in its spin, these aren't failures or missteps, they're proof that they were right all along, and that's by design.

i guess what i'm trying to say is that i can't help but see the people who get grifted as almost defenseless to it, or at least at a disadvantage. the indoctrination process feeds them answers and knows the questions before the people who will challenge them get a chance to ask.

I'm sorry but this just can't stop here. He is truly a fascist. He is on the verge of subverting a completely democratic process and continuing to implement dangerous and destructive policies and precedents.

This should be universally condemned. The next person who tells you that they voted for Trump, tell them they voted for a fascist. To their face. Because that's exactly what they did. There's no denying it. He fits every interpretation of the word, and we are spiraling towards a nation defined not by patriotism but by Trumpism.
