I cant decide what machine to get. Probably look for one used, use it for like a year, then get bored and sell. I dont even know how to start looking at what themes are our there besides the obvious.

Just get Pokemon Pinball, they're both good games.

As for physical machines.... I like ones with heavy rails, which is basically most of the Williams ones (Zaccaria pretty much never used them)

DEMON'S TILT on Steam weirdly uses them even though it's not necessary in video game form since the rail is arbitrary when you can manually control the ball with code... but it does give good game feel.

And the one I played most growing up was Crystal Caliburn, which is a pinball game with a very slow, but massively scaling jackpot chain (since you have to complete the entire round table without losing the ball once, AND get the holy grail in multiball, and then complete the rounds again without dropping out of multiall but you can lose one of the three balls and be ok)

Pinball FX3 has tons of tables, some are actual Williams tables so you could some there that interest you and then use that to help decide which real one you want.
