Both Perdue and Loeffler bought or sold stocks that would be affected by the COVID crisis before the public knew of it. Also publicly, both sided with Trump that it was overblown and a democratic attack on the president.

Iirc Purdue was cleared of wrong doing by the ethics committee, but it still seems a case of "We investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong"

I hope the dems flip these seats but politicians weren't the only ones moving money around as news of the virus broke in Jan and Feb and IMO it isn't a big deal. The real problem is that they were in meetings getting information about the virus and then publicly saying something different; not that they moved money around. Its pretending that the virus wasn't a big deal that should ruin their careers at this point.
