I got about $340 from SLVO last month. They increased their dividend payout to 25 cents per share this month, so I'm gonna try to get over 2000 shares by the 19th (that's the ex-dividend date).

Anyone else got any good cheap dividend stocks to invest in?

Not sure what all you have, but DOW has a 5.806 div/yield, Pfizer has 4.121, Gamestop has 9.896 and Duke Energy 4.067

I'll be honest and say that I don't know much about investing in stocks/shares/whatever , I use an app called Wealthsimple and I'm up today by 10% after a really slow October. Pretty much anyone could have made money this morning.

Hope you're reinvesting them automatically and not just leaving them sitting in cash in your account.

SLVO is the only stock I have re-investing automatically right now. Any cash I get from other dividend stocks goes into SLVO since that's the highest paying stock I have.

I would honestly move into a more diversified dividend ETF that tracks equities instead of one that is solely tracking a precious metal.

And a high dividend yield on an ETN isn't really a good thing, especially if there's a large downward move and the ETN gets liquidated.

Dividend holdings are my worse performers tbh. 2 of my 4 biggest positions are dividend plays. One is basically break even if you include dividends paid out, the other is finally trending green after around 3 years of averaging.

The other two are Facebook and alibaba which I'm up over 100% in just the past couple of years.

I'm diversified across about 20 different stocks right now and I've also got some money in VTSAX. I'm watching SLVO pretty closely to make sure they're still paying a dividend, though. It's more work, sure, but that's my best way to get the highest payout for the price of the stock right now.
