What is up with people and their lawns.

It's mid-November everything stopped growing weeks ago.

Fucking give it a rest.
Why are people so upset with leaves?

The blanket your lawn all winter, which helps it for the rest of next season.

~Do people just like random noise? Is that progress?
Sometimes I wonder just how far out of the '50's we ever got.

yeah man they must not have much going on the worst is when they're too lazy to pick up a rake so they feel the need to mow the whole lawn instead of rake all for a couple leaves that are in the grass then the next day the lawn is full of leaves again so they wasted there time and have to do it all over again, thank you

This is being done by some lawn service. So, I guess they are making jobs.
But holy shit is it annoying. Like can we not right now. At the moment they are at the right outside my window point.

So fucking stupid.

The funny thing is, most of these lawns are burnt to hell in the next season.

Yeah it really makes no sense. The fact our society has leaf blowers as a job shows just how removed we are from the natural world. It's a form of a bull**** job. You should read David Graeber's book Bull**** Jobs.

I get it in some circumstances. But this is just stupid.
Pretty sure a week ago I heard someone mowing....FFS that grass stopped growing weeks ago.
Way to stress your lawn during a dormant period.
Then next season, 'OMG my lawn doesn't look good, better cover it with all sorts of fucked up chemicals'

I have also seen automatic sprinklers running while it's raining.

OMG, something somewhat similar happened a long time ago.
It is assumed that my friend's mother once called Social Services on my dad.
Nothing bad happened, but I do remember that moment at the kitchen table.
There was also a small feud over who could pick the wild asparagus that grew in that same plot....a long time ago. Now there is a house there. ((Connected, No, similar, yes.))

Also at the end of that clip, the one guy talks about offing himself on live tv, that has happened. That part got dark.

Finally, it stopped. All in all, it was about 3 hours.

Now their lawn looks naked, barren and sterile.

earlier this year i moved back into my childhood home and soooo many trees in the neighborhood have been cut down. so much less shade, so much more open space. it's terrible.

also i hear leafblowers almost every day, and haven't seen a single rake.

i hate everything lol

The funny thing is those leaves can be used to protect perennial in your garden from winter weather.
