which of the tests did you take? what was it like?

Nose swab thing. It was like water getting in your nose, but more solid. It made my eyes water pretty bad. Then I could like phantom feel it for the next two days making me think I maybe did have covid. Fortunately, I did not.

Yeah, like 20 times (work at a medical facility). Nose swabs. It's basically a big Q-tip you stick up each nostril. Nothing to it.

yeah at work once or twice a week every week since...May I think it was? maybe early June? I forget at this point

we do the nose swab now but not with the giant qtips, they're regular size and most of the time they let me swab myself. a couple times the nurse doing it jammed it way up there though. I also had a throat swab done twice and that was worse imo because it made my throat sore. the nose one only bothers me for like 30 seconds.

For a while it was the nose swap that goes all the way up your nose which felt like getting water up there for about a few seconds, but really wasn't that bad at all unless the person doing the test wasn't careful and hits your tear duct hard.

The other one is rapid that gives you results in 15 mins and doesn't have to go far up each nostril at all.

Yes, I had to do a combined nose / throat swab where you swab your throat first then use the same swab in your nostril, I gagged and couldn't do the throat swab properly but the nasal one was easy, it was a home test kit which you do and send off yourself - my result was negative thankfully

No. Im not having that crap shoved up my nose. If i feel like i have it i'll just take 2 weeks off and quarantine myself.

Getting tested the first time on Friday. My wife had an exposure at work and I've had symptoms so I can't go back to work until I have a negative test.

Y'all need to differentiate between a nasopharyngeal swab which I dub the brain scratcher and just a basic nasal swab. The guy who said nose swab at the top saying he got phantom feels makes it seem like he got the brain scratcher, while the 3rd seems he got the basic nasal swab.

Deep nose and shallow nose works for me too.

Anyway I work in medicine, I got swabbed twice, just the basic non brain scratching nose swab. Made me sneeze since it had an alcohol burn on it which made me feel bad for the nurse cause I sneezed in her face shielded face. Haven't gotten it, despite the unit I worked on 75% of the employees got it on the same day I worked and it was figured to have started. Fingers crossed it stays that way since I love running.
