As my least favorite Halo, I'm kind of surprised how much better it is with mouse/keyboard and a much better frame rate.

It isn't, at least on normal difficulty.
Is it me or is the sound design phenomenal? I particularly like when needles pop on you.
Also the game glitched right after a very annoying vehicle section so I have to restart the entire mission :(

I co-op'd with a friend through the whole game the night it came out. Some of the new enemies were really unfun to fight and I remember the story being indecipherable.

I'm playing on Heroic so maybe that's why.

And the audio is amazing

I'm about halfway through and begrudgingly enjoying it. The one other time I played it, I was a bit drunk and went in already irritated with it not being Bungie. With fresh eyes and an open mind, it's actually pretty decent. I've gotten strong Metroid Prime vibes from the new enemies and areas too.

AR has always been pretty crap on anything higher than normal. It's really only good for breaking shields at close range when you have nothing better.

For everything but the Warthog, sure. The 'Hog just sounds terrible IMO.
