But seriously, if these guys can really cure HIV and Covid-19, they're definitely worth at least a couple bucks a share.

Just gotta see what happens in terms of government funding and/or partnerships/buyouts from other companies.

I'll just keep my shares and continue daydreaming for now though haha

I didn't get in as early, but I put in just over $900 and I think I'm gonna leave it there, too. I still got in at a good time to take advantage of a big part of the run.

Still waiting on a couple quarterly filings for them to become "current" which should open the floodgates. They've been uploading a bunch of them over the past few weeks. If those get dropped this week I don't see it dipping below where it is now for awhile.

I got into it in early October when my friend told me about it. It had just spiked to .0217 and I wanted to get in ASAP.

Opened my Ameritrade account Monday. $125 initial deposit. Put in two more $100 deposits on Tuesday and Wednesday. Those became available Wednesday and Thursday, but the $125 didn't go in til Friday. The stock barely moved in that time, so I bought in and it immediately tanked.

Put more in the next week when it started shooting up again and it tanked again right after buying.

Made my final purchase a week after that and it tanked again.

So my total deposit was $775, but after commissions I probably only had like $740-750 invested. And it sat well under $750 for weeks.

Now it's $4382.

TLDR: don't worry too much about it dipping right after you buy. Do your research into the company. I'm confident in what I've read about them so I'm fine holding long term.

Ameritrade and Robinhood are different platforms. This is an OTC stock and Robinhood doesn't offer trading on those.

No Robinhood is it's own and TD ameritrade is it's own

You can have accounts with both - the Robinhood is simple, clean and has everything you need to know (would recomend level II data tbh.. that's $5 a month)

TD ameritrade has access to OTS stock like the one we're discussing ITT, it is not available to buy on Robinhood

be warned, stocks like these can be incredibly volatile in nature I have about 3k in this stock.. it hit a new high today and TANKED all the way down until it stabilized itself.. gave me a heart attack lol

$1000 is nothing to me, so i won't miss it. I bought crypto before, in 2017, and made a good amount off litecoin back then. And well, i guess I'll figure out the ameritrade thing, because what if it hit 50 cents in a few months and I missed out. I already missed out on spring crypto buy ins, as well as the low airliner prices, so I need to throw in somewhere lol.

I think the most obvious thing with investing is, you don't have any money until you liquidate it.

Yeah, I wouldn't do that unless you're super confident in a stock. Even then, it's extremely risky. Just use the money you're willing to risk to buy stock.

I've never sold stocks before, I know if you hold them less than a year you pay higher taxes on any gains. Do you pay the taxes when you sell? Or do you just have to set some of it aside to pay it when you file next year?

You pay taxes when you file. And yeah, the amount taxed is higher if you sell within a year.

I used most of the profits towards SLVO since that stock pays a monthly dividend. My main investment strategy is to hoard shares of SLVO to get more money in dividends every month. I'm hoping I can use it to supplement my income and maybe even replace it if things go really well.

New filing for Q4 2019 just dropped. They only need a couple more to go current on the OTC market and that will allegedly open it up for a lot of investors who can't/won't buy shares in non-current stocks.

That plus government funding getting approved should get it to start blowing up again. Til then it'll probably just bounce around between 5 and 10 cents.

Yeah, I have a vanguard account, but it seems way more limited. Seems more intended to invest in vanguard funds specifically. I don't like it. I can invest in vanguard funds on etrade all the same.
