Do you have children or a spouse that relies on you financially in a very major way?

Anyway, I don't agree with Dave Ramsey on a lot but I agree with him on this. Get term life insurance. Anyone who tries to sell you on something like whole life as an "investment" just sees you as a walking commission.

I have it through my work

It's definitely worth it if you have someone that would seriously be impacted by your death

I don't have Life Insurance. There's no one for me to leave anything to. There likely never will be. I guess I could leave something for my nieces and nephew.

Eh, more often than not you're gonna have more to leave loved ones at the end of your life if you took those premiums and invested them.

Life insurance is more of a peace of mind thing against worst case scenarios, like you dying unexpectedly at a young age, in which case you obviously don't want to leave your spouse and kids who rely on you financially out to dry

I need some, but Im too poor at the moment. Im still reeling from health insurance costs- which Im considering dropping and getting life insurance

Got a divorce agreement in place as well, so if something terminal pops up, we can bounce our finances apart

I'm well aware of what Life Insurance is for, and the amount I could get from what I premiums I could afford is significantly more than I would be able to have with wise investing. I'm most certainly dying very early. I'm likely going to be murdered. It is what it is.

I work for a life insurance company as a financial consultant for the underwriting department. I see people buy way more life insurance than they need. 10x your income in term coverage should be plenty if you have a spouse and kids. Should be cheap as well if you're young and somewhat healthy.

for people under the age of 41, we allow up to 35X your current earned income in coverage. That's insane, and likely very much unneeded!

Not really. But if I fight it too hard I'll just draw more attention. I'm playing this super smart. Believe me. This is the absolute best way.

I'm never worried about Google. Well, no more than anyone of us are concerned about the power corporations hold. Fuck them for that shit. I limit what info they have, but still, it's hard to operate in the modern world without giving up a little bit of something.
