I have a LG Stylo 4, which I bought a few years back to replace my old phone. The phone itself has pretty much served my needs and I don't really see a real reason to upgrade. Back when I bought it, Pokemon GO worked decently as far as I remember, but then I stopped playing it for the most part.

I recently picked the game back up, and I'm experiencing tons of slowdown, stuttering, and even constant crashes. It also can't seem to get an exact lock on my GPS, as my character tends to wander around a lot even when I'm sitting in one place, though I guess that's a good thing to grab any Pokemon or PokeStops around. Though when I'm actually walking outside, he would sometimes stop moving completely before running to catch up to my current position. That's not really a major issue though, as much as the stuttering and crashing is.

I know there's been a ton of updates to the game in the years since, so I guess my phone just isn't up to snuff anymore?

sounds like a connection issue? i experience the same things sometimes when i have a weak connection

Correct, I've noticed that this game uses a ton of ram and will definitely test your phone now. My iPhone 11 has no issues right now but my older iPhone 6S keeps crashing the moment I do anything more complicated than throwing a ball. The size of the game has grown and a lot of data is happening while you're playing.

Apparently, it was postponed, but this isn't a good sign for my phone.

It just crashed again when I was curbstomping a Gym. I got to their last Pokemon and was about to start the battle against it, and then it crashed.

I was VERY annoyed.
