like, Drew Barrymore and Robert Downey, Jr. come to mind, but Steve O is another great example.

Nick Cannon kinda did the reverse (career-wise), lol.

he was on track on basically being the next Steve Harvey, as far as different projects he was a part of/the influence he was getting as a host and entertainer, but then he had to come out with his racism and anti-Semitism

recently the actor who played Goldberg on the Mighty Ducks was arrested during a meth binge but I heard he's in recovery.

Dax Shepard was clean for like 15 years after coke and alcohol addiction, and he recently revealed on his podcast that he had a couple of month struggle with opioids after being prescribed them for an injury.
