I haven't played in awhile, but I believe roads disintegrate very quickly and costs a ton of resources just to rebuild them along with the bot that constructs it for each segment.

It's the weirdest game I ever got hooked too. It's not my favorite game of the last few years, but it's definitely the one that hooked me the hardest for some reason. You gotta really like inventory screens and feeling alone.

My driving force was that it looked different. I was at a time where I just wanted a game that you couldn't even say "Oh, it's like *blank*" to. I wanted something super far outside the box. I hated on how boring the demo gameplay they showed looked. But bought it anyway and didn't regret it.
