When he revealed the Banjo, Terry and Byleth models, Sakurai kinda low-key implied that season 2 character amiibo are not guaranteed, but I'm sure it'll happen because money.

I used to think Amiibo were dead outside of Smash but Mario 3D world is getting some as well as Monster Hunter Rise so I think it's safe to say we'll get season 2 characters.

Since I've got a Cloud one, I can't not get Sephiroth, can I? Speaking of Cloud, his Amiibo had FFVII and Advent Children variants, so could that happen for Sephiroth too?

The only alt costumes they've really done were for DLC characters like Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta.
