I dunno. I'm undecided. I can totally see 'Commander Shepard returns!' as a big marketing reveal down the line. Wrex was also old and has many ways to die in the trilogy so he is likely dead. Liara is a smart choice since the only way she can die is some random cutscene near the end that isn't unique to her. Don't try to make some Games as a Service coop game like Anthem. Just make a traditional Bioware RPG. There's literally no competition! I don't really think Shepard is a necessity to a good mass effect game, but if they want to gi that route and make it work I'm okay with that. I just hope they don't screw it up either way. A failure here could likely kill the series.
