It honestly is a shocking fall from grace. They went from one of my most respected game makers to one of my least respected.

I'm still trying to figure out what was a more glaring disappointment, this or Mass Effect Andromeda.

This. No one expected Andromeda to be great.

Not to mention they actually let EA Access members play Andromeda before release! EA aren't stupid enough to try and hide before the game is released.

No matter how busted the game ended up being, it's their behavior leading up to the release and afterward that has bummed me out so much. Being honest about the state of the game would've still resulted in them taking a hit, but what they ended up doing instead has no doubt turned out so much worse. From shady behavior with review copies to straight up lying about the game's performance, dragging Sony and Microsoft down with them over the seizure thing and the refund shit, it's all terrible.

This. I still plan on enjoying a great game many months, or even years, from now. But it's the fact that they were so deceptive that really pisses me off. Deceptive, and greedy. And honestly it's the higher ups that are probably to blame, the corporate people, not the video game people. It's just depressing all around.
