The binge model was a fun experiment, but I've concluded weekly airings of episodes are better. The pros outweigh the cons. Sure, you don't get the whole show all at once but you do get to properly reflect on the episode, discuss it with peers and anticipate what might happen next. Which is frankly more fun. And it's easier to remember what happens in which episode since the show isn't just a blob of episodes like the Netflix stuff.

No fuck weekly. I dont discuss shows with anyone and dont care to. Just let me watch it all and move on to something else. I dont need a week to reflect on a TV show

But I am not going to lie, I am really looking forward to 5+ hours straight of Cobra Kai season 3. Been waiting since April 2019 for that.

Disagree. I enjoy binging more.

I retain parts from episodes better on a weekly basis. If I binge, everything blends together, and I barely remember parts from most shows.

I agree. So many good shows that become forgettable cause there's no hype, no discussion with coworkers and friends. It also gives you something to look forward to.

no its not lol. How often do legitimately good shows get cancelled halfway through its first season?

its much more common for shows to just get screwed out of a second, or to end on a cliffhanger, or both, all of which are just as prevalent with the binge format lol

weekly is way better imo. Bring back more monster of the week stuff, episodes that were memorable and distinct from each other, and shows like Lost that could generate some excitement and ongoing discussion from week to week

Depends on the show tbh. Some shows have slower-paced episodes that setup future events and those lend themselves more to the binging format.

Mandalorian and The Boys definitely benefit from a weekly schedule though, mostly because those shows have some sort of subplot with a defined beginning, middle and end.
