Absolute falsehood to say those movies are better than A Walk to Remember which should be put into the national archive. The only way you could even think that is if you have such a distaste for religion that you can't take the movie for what it is over that belief set.

I mean, even Love Story is a better love story. But of course, writing quality goes to Romeo and Juliet which is a staple for a reason. Orpheus and Eurydice is probably the absolute greatest love story because its tragic elements are phenomenally well-presented through a mythological lens, and I can't think of a greater emotional beat than dragging your loved one through the gates of hell itself. Something about Walk is rather pedantic and small-stakes in comparison.

Even the most keen minds will notice that romeo and juliet is moreso of young kids with first love doing stupid things in regards to it. It's hardly a great love story. Its considering a tragedy for a reason.

A walk to remember isn't amazing because of the bleak ending. It is amazing because of Jamie achieving her ambition and how she did it.

Also on the track of religion, it is a good movie to show in a theology class because while it is maybe a bit brief it does present differing beliefs on religion that began the debate with the how can this all exist if not for God. How can God exist if there is all this suffering. How can there be compassion without suffering then. How does that make sense for those who suffer. What is faith. It's like the wind. I can't see it. But I can just feel it. Etc etc. It's a good movie for theology. If you have a class regarding that, do a report on this film. Trust me. I have. Lol.

If you only judge love by hardship it's like saying a couple with a perfect match and boring love story isn't as great as a story of a man and woman who become solid in love after the man beats the woman for 17 years and after her 23 suicide attempts from oding because they had more hardship to catalyze their greatness.

Bad take. Make a genuine take on a better love story without assuming a tragedy just makes it better. Regardless of the ending and how it turned out in a walk to remember, it was the best love story of all time. She made Landon want to and become a better person by being true to herself and turned his life around and in turn he made sure he completed her list of things she wanted to accomplish in life in a relationship that was purely based on love and not an lust based relationship.

It was a rehabilitation of souls together in order to achieve perfect greatness. A relationship that changed so much for so many characters, even the background ones.

A Walk to Remember is my favorite love story in movie form, at least!

I watched it on TV as a teen and thought it was so beautiful I immediately bought the DVD and watched it again the next day. Whether it would still hold up these days I guess I don't know, but my memories are fond

I saw the movie during Spring Break of 2019.

Boring as hell apart from Mandy Moore getting leukemia and dying at the end of the film.
