Pokemon's a good call. I used to have a lot more patience for grinding and collecting characters and stuff but after playing through a couple of the games I just don't have the patience any more for that :(

True, plus the sheer number of new pokemon means I'll never be interested in collecting them now. 151 was a lot, but still a good number. Even the next 2 gens were tolerable. 900 Pokemon? Nah I'm out.

Any CRPG or visual novel with an amazing plot. Really want to get into them but just cant. Generally just watch a review on YouTube to get the details.

The Witcher 3. I've finished the Bloody Baron questline, I think, and I liked the story and atmosphere of the game, but I just couldn't get past the janky-ass combat.

Dying Light. I'm a fan of those kinds of games for sure, but I tried on 3 occasions and it never clicks with me.

Oh not a video game but I *really* want to get into the Arkham Horror board and card games but it takes forever to set up and by the time I do there's time to play like through part of one case and that's it -_-.

I am collecting all the different expansion packs for the card game just because the board game's out of print afaik but I haven't even cracked them open yet because it's too intimidating.

God of War (2018). All the RPG-light elements like gear upgrades and such are so god damn monotonous, overcomplicated and out of place. I just can't force myself to finish it.

@Hexenherz Dunno if you're interested but I used to play it on tabletop simulator a lot so that's an option. It's convenient because you can just load in the boards and expansions so set-up is infinitely easier. Super fun, although I was more into Eldritch Horror than Arkham.

@ArchNemo I was wondering about that, I saw a few different builds on the Workshop. Are there versions that incorporate rules and moves in them or do you still need a copy of the rulebook yourself?

Also don't know how I feel about a virtual version of board games, but then again it would be a helluva lot easier to deal with cleanup.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. I always wish there were more games in the Ancient Greek times, and the world in this game is beautiful but that's about it. I'm about 30 hours in after jumping back on and off it for the last two years, but the endless "get quest, clear camps, repeat, repeat, repeat" got so old so very quick.

Yeah you really gotta focus on the main story in that one, or at the very least don't worry about *all* the side quests.

@Hexenherz you'll probably need someone to teach you the rules. Just open a room and someone who has played it before will probably join and be willing to explain it. It's not super hard to learn but it is easier to have someone teach you.

Some do have references of what actions you can do on your turn and such though.

In the latest one, you are in danger of being way over leveled for each gym if you fight anything between towns.

I really tried to like Smash because I know a lot of people that play it but I just don't enjoy it at all. Traded it in after a month or so.

Witcher 3 because everyone talk about how great it is. Have tried playing it on three separate occasions and got over 20 hours on each attempt and it genuinely feels no different than any other middle of the road wrpg to me. Not sure if Im just missing out on lore investment or what
