At least it outlasted Scrooged smdh It's funny - A Christmas Story became famous through cable repeats, yet I've met a lot of people who claim they hate it and the most common reason is "it's overplayed". Not because it's one of the most well known Christmas movies, but it's pretty much the iconic anime Christmas film. If it happens, I can't deny the possibility of it being one, but just because a few of us said it doesn't make it one. I am not hoping the thing I like gets stuffed. MartinFF7 12/23/20 3:28:55 PM #20:	Oh Leon you missed when I was giving my play-by-play on my first watchthrough of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya during the last iteration of SMFAS ...I just couldn't get into it. I went with the "broadcast order" and was confused right out the gate (literally, Asahina episode 1) and the placement of episodes was just so stupid in so many places (eg sticking a random episode in between a two-parter; or having episodes talking about concepts which were explained in episodes that I hadn't seen yet) But slice-of-life stuff isn't my thing generally so I figured it it'd be a tough watch but I felt compelled as I commit to watching all SMFAS winners & finalists. And I'm literally 2 years behind, the only series I watched this year were Melancholy and From The New World. Looking forward to Monster rewatch in 2021... So anyways, I didn't like Melancholy at all. But I LOVED Disappearance so much that it made it all worthwhile, it was just so great. And I look forward to watching Melancholy again at some point in the future, in proper chronological order, where I'm sure I'll appreciate it more than my initial viewing.
