Board 8 > Alabama Father and Son Shoot each other DEAD in a rain of GUNFIRE!!!!

60 y/o Kelvin James Coker and his 32 y/o Son, Nicholas Coker shot each other DEAD over a dispute over a DOG which the younger son also KILLED because it was trying to attack a child. Apparently the father valued his dogs MORE than his own family and went into rage when he found out his son killed it.

Kelvin discovered his pitbull shot dead and then drove to his son's home who claimed to have killed it cause it was attacking his gf's daughter

Kelvin then opened fire on his son and struck his torso and then Nicholas returned fire with his SHOTGUN and hit his father in the neck as both men started to fire REPEATEDLY killing each other in their last moments!!

The sheriff said the family is "very dysfunctional"

Chief Blake Richardson said the confrontation unfolded over Nicholas shooting on 4 of the family's dogs after one started to attack his gf's young daughter

2 of the dogs was a pitbull that was killed and belonged to James

He said "His brother said dad is going to be upset that you killed his dog and Nicholas allegedly pointed the shotgun at his brother and using choice language mor eor less told him to get off his property or he would kill him"

When Kelvin found out, he got in his pick up and went to the house as Nicholas pointed his shotgun at his father who then drew his gun and shot his son as a mortally wounded Nicholas then shot back at him as both then made final shots at each other before death

Richardson said it's unfortunate that they would not value human life, particulary blood related anymore than that

Ariel Anderson, the gf disputed it though claiming that her bf did not kill his father but rather James committed SUICIDE after killing his son

She wrote on FB "Nic Coker did not kill his daddy and they did not have an argument! Nic was protecting my daughter from his and his dads pitbulls that were hurting her and his dad just showed up and shot him because he was mad that nic killed his dog then he shot himself"...

Police defended the findings as a coroner said James could not have committed suicide from those wounds
