I mean, nearly destroying the postal service this summer probably didn't help.

I may not know much about mail delivery, but it feels like uninstalling and destroying sorting machines designed to help mail things faster might have the effect of not helping mail things faster.

Well, I am a postal employee, and the enormous increase in online ordering is the main perpetrator in things running behind. The mail itself isn't really running behind, so I don't think he nearly destroyed the postal service. Your packages are probably what'll wind up being late because something can get lost in the shuffle when the volume is so much higher than what they're used to having.

Ironically, the sorting machines he was trying to uninstall were strictly for letter mail. He was explicitly doing this to make more room for sorting packages!
