It's a decent game. Not outstanding, no, but a far cry from a bad game. There were promises not met, a myriad bugs and issues like the console versions being nearly unplayable that led to a social media hailstorm that would have you think this is one of the worst games ever made.

Beneath the bugs and broken promises, though, there's a decent game. A game that a lot of work clearly went into. Setting aside the external issues, I'd give it a solid 8/10.

It's a shame console people got screwed over, but the pc version is fantastic, and once the bugs are ironed out, it'll be a GOAT game.

I'm playing on a Pro. Tbh, I've been extremely disappointed so far. The bugs, the crashes, the lifeless world, etc really bring the game down for me. It crashes on me like every 2 hours.

I was hyped as fuck for this game. I know I would probably enjoy it more if I was playing on PC like originally planned (covid fucked me there) but I still think I'd be disappointed.

what kills it for me is your save file can corrupt after 8mb. And its not from the item duplication glitch either, just finishing side missions increases space quite a bit. My friend with 80 hours into it and with most side missions done had 7.8mb save file size, this is without crafting or item duplication. That alone makes this game unplayable for me

It runs great on a good PC. That doesn't mean it is great. It still has huge world and AI problems even when it's running perfectly.

Yeah they fixed the 8MB thing.

What *really* kills it for me now is that the Delamain missions are broken. I doubt I was going to 100% the game just because the Berserk mod achievement requires more Body than I'll have points for on this character but would have been nice to at least get the mission completionist cheevos.

I only played the game for about a dozen hours or so on base PS4. I may try it again since my PS5 came today but Im not sure. Even ignoring all the bugs, glitches, and crashes, the game just wasnt very fun for me. I did not like how lifeless the city felt. I did not like the enemy A.I. I could not get into the combat system as it didnt feel rewarding or thrilling to defeat enemies.

Even halfway through Act 2, the main story failed to keep my interest. I will admit that I did enjoy some of the side quests. I like the layout of Night City. I like some of the characters. I like some of the music.

Overall, I wasnt enjoying my time with the game. Good for people who like or love it. Thats awesome. As for me, this is a game I dont really need to play again.

There are legit problems with it even when it's running well on a PC, you can ignore those problems if you want but it doesn't make them stop existing and it doesn't make others wrong or making things up for pointing them out. There are garbage mechanics used that would have been bad in this kind of game a decade ago.

I feel almost ripped off because none of these janky bugs happen to me. Game just runs well and everything flows normally.

I'm playing on Pro also and surprisingly the game has never crashed on me. I had a couple visual glitches that were annoying enough for me to restart the game, but never any hard crashes. Still loving the story and most of the building interiors look gorgeous. Stealth is really the only part of the game that I actively dislike. It seems like just being anywhere close to a bad guy instantly alerts everyone to my location.

Doesn't have to be perfect to be great. I never said it was perfect. And really the busted AI isn't that big of a deal as some make it out to be, most of the time I'm just running through pedestrians anyway. It's the story, music, characters, and city itself that makes it great imo. It also looks damn good.

I had no issue with delamain missions but the beast in me is giving me issues on me getting messages from her to start the next part. Sucks cause I usually hate racing but at least the first race was fun to me shockingly since I dislike driving cars in this game.

No, it doesn't have to be perfect to be great, but it sure as hell has to be better than entire crowds reacting in unison and the police always spawn directly behind you kind of shit.

Everyone says it works great on PC but I've seen some people play it on PC and it still looks buggy as fuck. Also it seems theres no feedback when you take damage?

@mooreandrew58 Yeah waiting was a pain. I found that sometimes just doing 23 hours then 1 hour worked instead of doing a single 24 hour wait.

Even stupider is sometimes you have to send a message or two to her and then wait another day -.-
