He knows that no matter what he can do, it won't change the Georgia Run-offs. He knows he'll still have power because it's inevitable both Republicans will win the Run-Offs so he can do whatever he want with no rammifications.

Humans as a whole are too loyal to their base. Even if Republicans are pissed off at this, they'll still vote Republican simply because they aren't Democrat.

There's no way this will affect things, unfortunately.

There's no way this will affect things, unfortunately.

Normally I'd agree, however there appears to be a growing rift between the MAGA Redhats and the GO, to the point where some of them are calling for abstaining to vote for them. If this helps drive that wedge further, we might see some actual movement.

while this is incredibly true, those two bases still only combine for about half the population. the trick to winning literally any election is to win over the people who don't usually vote. and that seems to be happening in GA, to at least some extent. we'll have to wait to see who they got involved for, though.

But make no mistake, if they wanted him removed as the Senate Majority Leader they could do it. But they won't because they like what he does. It lets them talk out of both sides of their mouths when they want to. They can pretend that they totally want to work with the other side or vote on a bill but they couldn't because "Mean ol Mitch is blocking it", meanwhile they are the ones who put him in power and keep him there.

Watch, if they retain at least one Georgia Senate seat for the GOP. They will name Mitch Mcconnell the Senate Majority Leader once again in the new Senate.

Exactly. This isnt just McConnell being evil. This is what Republicans want, no matter what they say. If they wanted something else, they wouldnt let McConnell do this.

Exactly.
However, that is only possible because the average American truly doesn't understand how bills are passed. Like with the Obama era, the Republican senate just voted down any bill coming from the Democratic house, and the average American saw it as the Obama administration being ineffective.

I believe Schumer asked for unanimous consent to bring it up which does give one single person the power to block it in that scenario.

Now Mitch being able to single-handedly block it in any other scenario is laughable and something needs to be done about that.
