That's all very nice, but none of it does anything to convince anyone that "Bernie's a welfare queen" wasn't a stupid thing to say. Which is all very nice, but none of it does anything to convince anyone that Bernie Sanders -- a man who has lived on the taxpayer's dime while contributing nothing -- isn't one. It's also weird that you've chosen now to die on this hill, when I've raised this point both directly to you and others numerous times over the years. And it's not so much a matter of government salaries in general, but more specific to individuals who exploit a lifetime of elected office to serve their own interests and get rich through the detriment of taxpayers. Bernie Sanders is one of the biggest reasons why the government needs absolute term limits on ANY elected position, not just on a specific office although both congress and the senate should have those as well. adjl posted... Trying to sound wittier while doing so by making comparisons that are obviously absurd to literally everyone reading your posts only works against you in that endeavour, so maybe hold off until you learn a little more about how to be clever. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the issue isn't my post, but instead the fact that you're not as clever or witty as you think you are? GrabASnickers posted... Again, his worth is in the low millions. I love that this is somehow a defense. And the only reason it's in the low millions instead of much higher is because he's squandered the outrageous amounts he's made over the years but, even after that, he's STILL a multi-millionaire with three homes. GrabASnickers posted... Also I thought you worked for the DOD, Because you believe literally anything Brisashi makes up. Plus I'm pretty sure he claimed that I worked for the FBI, not the DOD, as part of his weird campaign of harassment over the years. Not that I'm able keep track of his lies, considering he tells them non-stop. However, if you stopped to think for even ONE moment, you'd realize how improbable it would be for the board's most outspoken critic of the NSA, DoD, and surveillance state in general to work for any of those organizations. That said, that would still come back to working FOR government vs BEING government... although it's worth noting that a lot of federal government jobs are absolute bullshit anyway. You had EPA directors who didn't show up at their job for years while continuing to collect a paycheck and literally nobody noticed (at least, until he retired and was STILL being paid his salary), which goes a long way in showing how useless the EPA is. --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ... Nah, it's far more likely Zeus works for Fox as one of its producers or head writers, but even then I have my doubts.

Nah, it's far more likely Zeus works for Fox as one of its producers or head writers, but even then I have my doubts. Considering that I'm far further to the left than anybody who's ever worked there, it's a wacky assertion. I also highly doubt they'd hire a registered Democrat and they'd almost certainly check party affiliation during the hiring process, as do other media outlets. --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ... And now we're going with "working in government contributes nothing to society that warrants getting paid for said work"? Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the issue isn't my post, but instead the fact that you're not as clever or witty as you think you are? I don't really have to stop to think about that. Being as clever and witty as I am means I can think about that without having to specifically dedicate time or effort to doing so, allowing me to ask myself that question whenever I say anything without losing any time. This is why everything I say is so unambiguously brilliant, regardless of your inability to see that truth. Perhaps you should try cultivating such a skill.
